Frequently Asked Questions
Is the hot tub currently open? Yes, it is! It is open 24/7, 365. We clean and chlorinate it daily. (Closed only when it gets below -10°F for guest safety.)
Does each cabin have its own hot tub? No, we have one hot tub rated at a 7 person capacity but 4 is most comfortable. The hot tub is situated centrally away from the cabins and is sunk into the ground and landscaped for a private feel.
Can I get to the cabins in the winter/Do I need 4WD? The city gets everything plowed very quickly. The roads to us are mostly paved and bare off quickly. The mile of gravel to us usually also gets plowed fairly quickly. If you are not used to driving in snow, we do recommend renting a vehicle with AWD. 4WD is not necessary to get around. However, if you are not used to driving in snowy weather, AWD will make it much easier on you, but 2WD will also get you around just fine.
Does the kitchen have everything I need to cook? Yes, the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots/pans, cooking oils, and various grilling spices, etc as well as a drip coffee maker and french press (3 days of ground coffee provided). Everything you need to prepare a meal! There are also two gas grills on site for guest use.
What kind of coffee maker do you have? Each cabin has a drip coffee maker and a french press. We do not have a bean grinder. We provider several days worth of ground coffee.

Can I have my small wedding or ceremony on your property if I rent the cabins? No, we do not allow weddings or ceremonies of any kind or number of guests on the property. Our covenants and insurance do not allow it. We highly recommend the nearby venues. Roys Barn and Lodge, Star M Barn, and Foster Creek Farm are all very close to us and are lovely venues. The Rockin’ TJ Ranch offers micro wedding packages for 10-25 guests. Meet Me Inn Montana rental home, located just a few minutes from us, allows for weddings up to 75 guests at their rental home for a small venue fee. If you are just looking to do a small elopement without renting a space, we recommend Hyalite Reservoir or Ousel Falls. Both are beautiful places for a small scenic ceremony year round.
Booking:What is the difference between booking direct and booking through a booking platform?
Platforms like Airbnb and VRBO charge around 15% in fees for you to book through them (Airbnb has started including these fees in the reservation total so they are less visible). If you book directly, we only charge a 5% service fee and the 8% MT Lodging tax and the exit cleaning fee, which you are paying no matter where you book. If you book All 5 Cabins, we will authorize a hold of $500 on your card the day before your arrival as a Security (Damage) Deposit, which will be released after you check out.
Booking direct usually ends up saving at least $50-$150.
If the total price on the platform looks like it is less than our booking total, make sure you have clicked Reserve Now and gone to the final screen as they often don’t add the taxes/fees until the last screen.
Note: The Airbnb service fee is also usually non-refundable no matter when you cancel and VRBO only refunds theirs if the host fully refunds the reservation. How does the payment process work? After clicking confirm booking, you will be sent an email via ChargeAutomation with a link to complete your payment. Your booking is not confirmed until you have completed your payment via this step.
The system will charge 50% of your total at time of booking, provided your arrival date is more than 30 days away. The remaining amount will be charged automatically 30 days before arrival.Do you offer a discount for booking multiple cabins? No, we do not.
Do you offer any discounts? We offer a 10% discount for active first responders and military with proof of ID. Last minute stays (less than 7 days before check in) are typically reduced in price by 10-20%. If you are booking last minute feel free to call us to check that the price online includes a discount.
